Under these circumstances, Lianyungang Huanghai Machinery Factory Co., Ltd. has developed the HYDX-5A core drilling rig successfully according to the situation of China. This type of drill rig could substitute imported products. It could be used for exploration and prospecting of geology, metallurgy, coal, petroleum, natural gas, groundwater and other industries.
Main Features
1. Equipped with steel self-propelled crawlers, the rotator is fed and driven with a system connecting the spindle and oil cylinder with chain. The system has the function, if the oil cylinder piston moves one certain distance, the spindle will double the distance. The rotator, the main and assistant hoisters, mud pump, clamp and feeding oil cylinder, erecting derrick oil cylinder are all controlled hydraulically. It is convenient to operate the drilling rig and easy in maintenance.
2. Duplex-set driving, by using patent technique, the rotator is reliable in performance, stable in start-up and stop.
3. With long feeding stroke system to 3200mm, this type of rig has eliminated lifting of rod for rod connecting and continuously drilling. It increases the drilling efficiency and decreases the probability of in-hole malfunctions.
4. Adopting folding mast, the operation angle can be easily adjusted. The mast can realize the performance of 45° -90° Slope holes drilling.
5. The high power engine (132KW) is selected and used. And with 2-point-control simulative load sensitive system, the drill rig is higher in efficiency and lower in energy consumption.
6. Its hoisting capacity is high. The main hoister can provide 7700kg lifting power with single-wire, and assistant hoister 1200kg.
7. Adopting 5-point clamping device, the hydraulic chuck could clamp the drill rod more powerfully and safely.
8. Keeping with enough obligated power, the mud pump could meet the requirement of percussion-rotary drilling.
9. With centralized control panel, this can realize the control stability of operation of the power control unit and the hydraulic control unit separately.
10. With reliable steel crawlers unit, it is more convenient for movement and economical for transport of the rig.
11. The overall drilling rig is reliable in design with a strong resistance against mal-conditions.
12. Max chuck diameter of 121mm applies BQ to PQ size rods.
Humanized Consideration Design
1. Equipped the foot clamp with various sizes of jaws for different drill-rod specifications and with centering guide, the rig is typically suitable for slope hole drilling.
2. The rotator is installed with guiding groove and inclined plane device, which are combined with drill-rod centering guide installed in the middle of mast; It is convenient and accurate to locate the drill rod.
3. With design and side-turning device of rotator, it is more convenient for operation and performance.
4. The high-position operation platform makes the operation more convenient and faster for mounting and dismounting drill rods and quicker for rock core extraction.

BW250 mud pump, driven by the hydraulic system of the main machine, is adopted.
